Comet Car Hire currently operates exclusively on Mahé. Our vehicles cannot be taken to Praslin or La Digue. If your holiday includes other islands, you can enjoy your Comet vehicle during the Mahé portion of your stay.

You must have a valid driving license and be legally qualified and permitted to drive. Only the renter and any additional drivers expressly authorised and named on the rental agreement and insurance forms are permitted to drive the vehicle.

The minimum age to rent a vehicle is 23 years old. The vehicle may not be driven by anyone under the age of 23.

Yes. We provide complimentary vehicle delivery and collection services, including airport collection and return arrangements.

If your flight is delayed, please keep us informed of your updated arrival time and flight details. We will monitor the flight and adjust the vehicle collection time accordingly to ensure a smooth handover upon your arrival.

Yes. However, three (3) days' notice is required for any changes to the rental period, reduction of rental days, collection or return location, or agreed return time. For cancellations, three (3) days' full rental tariff will be charged, with no discount applicable.

Third-party public liability and property damage insurance are included with unlimited coverage. The standard collision excess is €3,600 per claim. We offer the following Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) options: ① €10 CDW: The excess is reduced to €2,000 in the event of an accident. ② €30 CDW: No excess is charged in the event of an accident.

Yes. Mileage is unlimited for the duration of your rental.
